When: September 19th,2008

Story:
The hives have been my favorite band since 2002. I have had the pleasure of seeing them live Three times. Once at Coachella fest in Indio California 2003. Last Febuary 19th in Hollywood at the Wiltern and of coarse just yesterday in my home state of Arizona. Never before have i gotten front row until Yesterday. So, heres the low down of how I, Heather Dawn Crary met The Hives. At 2:30pm Myself and some close friends headed to Tempe. Living three hours away, i was stressed we would have horrible seats. We arrived at the Marquee at 5:30 to find Maybe 20 people in line... you have no idea how exciting this was. So, the wait was a pleasent one.. I met some really awesome people in line and talked until the doors opened at 6:30.Once i got in i was thrilled to see there was a awesome spot for me front row, to the right of the stage...the place i wanted to be.Watched two pretty awesome opening acts, but i couldn't stop thinking about when the hives would grace the stage. Finally, at 10:30 pm... i saw the best bunch of boys come alive on stage, right in front of me. After a 17 song set, the hives said their goodbyes and left. I kindly asked the security guard for the set list, and bless his heart...he got me a set list :o). I was still not statisfied... i had to met the hives personally. decided to wait by the back entrance, i figured it couldnt hurt. First member i met was a very worn out looking Howlin' Pelle. I definatly couldn't blame him or any other band member for being tired, they just kicked ass for and hour and half straight. Anywho, He was very polite and signed my set list and took a few pictures and informed us it was time to leave. Once he left the security told us we had to leave because no one else was coming out. I started to walk to my car, and then decided im not leaving until i know i made every possible attempt at meeting them.I can clearly see Nicholaus Arson standing inside the Venue talking to fans....I walk up, almost in the door and security stops me..Tells me i need a wrist band. I was so bummed. Luckily, two very nice girls had an extra wrist band and handed it to me... i was so happy i couldnt find words to express it. I walk in, Met Nick, took pictures and signed my set list, listened to his storys and Chris Dangerous walks up and signs the set list and takes pictures..while im still standing inside listening to storys, i start to wonder if im gonna get to meet Dr. Matt or Vigilante..Unfornatly, they were the only two Hives i failed to meet. We were told it was time to leave and i excitedly went on my way. Basically that whole night, from the beginning was pure luck. Even if i had a chance to do it all over i'd do it the same. Thank you Hives for ruling the world and i cant wait to see you again next time you come to the states!

Hopefully sooner than later
-HeatherDawn Crary.

So I got some of my friends to go with me to see you guys in Austin and they loved you and finally understood why I love you guys, so then we decided to see you again in Dalla. My friend got a black eye but then some roadies took us to meet you guys, it was amazing. I hope you guys found something to do when you stopped in El Paso.
Love,
Clarisa
p.s. your performaces were amazing and when I actually met most of you I was so petrified (even though you all were really nice) I couldn't remeber to tell you that. Oh and Nick Arson I think your the coolest guitar player ever.

So thats it, i took the three hour ferry boat trip, and what can I say? the best show ive seen in my life! im really still amazed of all the energy you put in the show, simply the best band ive seen in a live act, simply amazing! and every song in the setlist was just brilliant!
after the show I went to the hotel really fast, and I was lucky enough to meet the band ,take some pics and talk for some minutes. So thats it, the best night of my life, you guys are simply way too kind
hope to have you back down here really soon!

Story:
The Hives gave The House of Blues a whole new color scheme last night and rocked the blues right out of Dallas! This is the second time I've looked into the eyes of the madmen and survived with no more than a sore throat and a few bruises. My first was the New Orleans show last year and I've been waiting 11 months for another fix. (Pics are actually from the New Orleans show.) You guys ARE rock and have ruined me for any other bands. Cheers!
