Its was the ultimate experience for me!!

Where: LA at NBC Studio After Jay Leno

When: FEB 19th 2008

Story:
I went to the taping of the Tonight Show with Jay Leno!!!! It was way last minute I only found out I was going for the day before. Me and my 3 friends all were personal guests of Mr. Leno.

I was going to see Hayden but when I found out the Hives were going to be there it was now going to be basically amazing!
AND It was amazing. So after this wonderful hour of live tv. (with great performance of TICK BOOM)!
We then went to do a taping of Last call with Carson Daily.

So as we are walking pass the area the celebrities come out Howlin' Pelle Almqvist is standing outside.
So we wave (were 15 ft away) and say great performance. He thanks us. My friend Matt then asked him if he was playing at the Wiltern tonight. He said "yes" and "see you there" . We gave a sad face and said "we don't have tickets". HE THEN......
Asked for my name and I yelled it and he said he would leave us tickets!!!!!!!!!
The people showing us to Carson's Studio got in our way and made us move and stop talking to him...
We were in SHOCK!!!! He was so cute and funny and SO NICE!!!!
We weren't to sure if he was lying or not so as we were done with the Carson Daily show we jetted over to the Wiltern and.....

SURE ENOUGH HE LEFT US TICKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So we were (basically) his guests. Unfortunately he didn't leave us backstage passes or anything :( BUT we did get to go to the show complimentary.

SO THAT WAS MY MOST AMAZING BEYOND AMAZING DAY EVER!!!!!

Nothing will top speaking to Howlin' Pelle Almqvist
and Hayden Christensen!!!!

Where: V2003 Festival, England

When: August, 2003

Story:
I was wandering around aimlessly in the VIP area behind the stage at the V2003 festival in Chelmsford, England one year.

Most of the bands were sequestered behind a fence, but the liggers (us) were allowed closer proximity to said stars by getting to hang out in the "VIP" area. Sadly, all that the VIP area netted us was a shorter beer line, a few quick peeks at various members of The Cardigans, one Skin from Skunk Anansie and hordes of record company hangers-on. Hardly earth-shattering.

So there I was, lamenting the fact that I'd not managed to meet Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme and that there were no cool bands around, when who did I see through the mesh fence? None other than, erm, well, you know who. The boys in black and white!

So excited was I that I asked TEAM HIVES to gather together for a photo, lobbed my camera over to another guy standing there (happened to be an NME photog, handily) - and voila!

I'm f**king excited, standing grinning like a loon behind the green fence while the band look decidedly underwhelmed. Still, can you blame them? It was England. And they were on plastic chairs. Plenty to be miserable about. :-)

ps, see you in Vancouver ;-)
