Hola, Hives

We were just getting in our seats in the Watchovia Spectrum in Philadelphia for Maroom 5 concert when this guys named "The Hives" came on the stage,
like a storm in a nice calm summer day with so much energy, good music and leveraging Watchovia's Spectrum atmosphere to a really "High" OR I shall say "Hives" :)

Never heard from "The Hives" previously (I am sorry).
but it was a nice surprise, out of the blue, not expecting it all... the only downsize it was TOO SHORT!!!

Anyway.. I have already Ipod your good songs, from ITunes and even video-clip!!!!

Good job, well done boys!!!

Miquel from Philly.

PS, By the way where are you from?

Where: Webster Hall, NY; The Spectrum, Philly, PA!

When: 10/9 AND 10/13

Story:
No, Vigilante did not throw large tubular objects in our direction, but Nick did throw a pick or two our way. Thank you Nick. I must say, what a sweet, kind gentleman you are. Hives fellows, your energy is infectious. Your stage presence is undeniable. Your character is charming, intelligent, and warm. We were privileged to meet you, and how extremely SHY we were to walk your way! I believe you ALMOST cured our anxiety issues! Not only were my friend Alicia and I honored to be graced by your presence in New York's Webster Hall, but you facilitated our entry into your show (we left before Maroon5 arrived) in Philadelphia, PA. What we did to deserve to meet you, I have no idea. But I cannot complain. You truly are the best performers, the biggest gentlemen, and the most fun. We miss you already, and we cannot wait to see your next show. We wish you the best for the remainder of your touring adventures. Thank you for your music. Come back to Philly. We'll show you the best places to grab your favorite drink or two. or three. or twenty. ROCK ON, HIVE BROTHAS! Much Love, Padmaja and Alicia

Where: Glasgow- Cathouse

When: sometime around 2000

Story:
Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of when we met the band (camera phones were a thing of fantasy in 2000!)

The Hives were first on out of three bands, can't remember the them, they weren't very good :)

My friends and I were going nuts at the front of the stage while no-one else had a clue who they were. Vigilante looked genuinely freaked that we were singing along at the top of our lungs :)

After the show we bumped into them and asked them to sign our CDs (which they graciously did). In order to get the autographs Arson told me to follow him down to the dressing room- when we got there Vigilante was sprawled out on a couch in his underwear- what a picture that would have made :)

Had a drink with the guys and chatted to them for a good half hour- what a diamond that guy is. I remember them being shocked that their record was in Tower in Glasgow.

My parting shot was to shout at Pelle "Remember us when you are famous!". I think he struggled with my accent but thanked me anyway.

Lovely guys, great band.
